This is a review game.

Using your word processor create a survey consisting of a list of questions about background information and personal interests.  Email this to your students or hand out it out in class.  Here's an example:
--------------------------------------------
Dear Student,
I'm putting together an activity sheet for class. Please take a couple minutes and answer the following questions:

Name:
Birthplace:
Place you "grew up"
Name of your high school:
Any sisters/brothers?
City you live in currently:
You married?
Children?
Favorite restaurant:
Favorite beverage:
Favorite hobby:
Dislike food:
Detest food:
Major
Favorite ice cream:
Favorite get-away place:
Like to do:
Love to do:
Car you drive:
Car you want to drive:
Favorite sport:

When you get done, return your answers to me.
THANKS!

--------------------------------------------

Now you will create an activity sheet based on the student responses.

Make a new list consisting of one response from each student.   See an example below.
You end up with a list of questions and responses and blanks to put matching names.
Each student should be represented on the list at least once.  If you have many students you can use the same question twice as long as the answers are different.

Make enough copies of new activity sheet that everyone can have their own copy.

Then explain that their job is to go around the room meeting other students and writing the name of the student next to their response.  When they get done filling out their list they should sit down and watch the others.

The game takes about 10 to 15 minutes depending on how many students you have.

Make sure to walk around during the game and correct production errors.

End the activity when most of the students are sitting down in their original seats. You might want to end the game when 80 percent of the students are done.

"Who are you?" Activity
Instructions to students:

We are going to fill out these sheets by writing the name of the person next to the item that corresponds to him or her.
A good way to do this activity is to walk up to another student or group of students and sign:
"Hi, I'm (spell your name) my favorite ______ is ______."  (Tell them the item that you are associated with on the list. Then the other person writes your name on their paper next to your favorite item. Then go meet someone else. Use sign language rather than pointing or talking.
